It was around 7pm, we met at the Boffin Garden on campus to create wedding pictures. Although they had a wedding the day before the shoot, they wanted to go out next day just by themselves and create unforgettable memories. After taking pictures at the Boffin garden, I took them to the park and it happened to be where Lija proposed to Anna, which we all did not know beforehand. These two locations were perfect for this couple and the couple replied they really enjoyed the session. It's always nice to hear that from my clients after the shoot.
Congratulations Anna and Lija on your marriage!

I had a privilege to photoshoot this cutie's birthday party a couple weeks ago. Kids were having so much fun running around, dancing, showing off their face painting, and playing games. I wished I had their energy. The most challenging part was to get all of their attention to get a nice group picture but they could barely hear my yelling voice due to music. I totally should've used a microphone. There's always a room for improvement. Happy 1st Birthday Tobi!
P.S. If you were at this party and want to know if I have your pictures, feel free to inquire.
It was a very special day for Faith as she was officially becoming a Canadian citizen.
The ceremony was held at Frances Morrison Library in downtown. People from different nations gathered and pledged an oath. The storytelling about Canadian history from the judge and testimonies from former immigrants reminded us how blessed we are in this land. After the ceremony, we went to the park in the Stonebridge area and took some family shots. Every year, I photoshoot them at least a couple times casually and formally and they seem to become better looking year after year. What a good looking couple. Congratulations Faith! Stay sharp and spiffy my friends! Formal and Reception: Mordecai and Abby's Wedding
After the Ceremony, we headed to the university side of the train bridge. Then we headed to the Bessborough Hotel to shoot in the garden. Sunlight was pretty strong so we shot in the shades and took some more when the clouds covered the Sun, which didn't last long. Reception was held at Manhattan Ballroom, 5 minutes out of Saskatoon on Hwy 5. The evening was a combination of lots of Nigerian food + Music + Dance, Dance, Dance! Nigerians are natural dancers... I sometimes wish I could dance like them. I know how to move from left to right, right to left ;) It's always great to capture people having a blast at the reception. Congratulations Mordecai and Abby! Thanks for sharing your most special day with me! It was a special day for Adedoyin as she was receiving her Master of Law degree at TCU Place. She was the only one receiving the Master of Law degree as everyone else was undergrad students, so she was the very last one to go up to the stage. After the long ceremony,
we headed to the College of Law to take some pictures in and outside of the building. Later that day was reserved for the party time at Adedoyin's apartment with lots of delicious African/Nigerian food. Ah, I can't have enough of Nigerian food.. it's so delicious. Congratulations again Adedoyin on your convocation! and thank you for sharing your special day with me! Prep Stefan and I met Robert and Daphne at the Bessborough hotel early in the morning to capture the prep session. A make up artist and a hair stylist were in Daphne's room with the bridal party doing the make up and hair while the groom party was still "resting" in the other room. We were surprised at how nice the room was in the old Bessborough hotel. The room also had a great natural lighting coming in from the East. After Daphne and her 4 bridemaids finished their make up and hair we rushed to the Knox United Church for the actual ceremony. Oh, and the groom party started and finished prepping within less than an hour and departed to the church (an hour before the bridal party got there). I was shocked at how "efficiently" they manged their prep time! these guys were looking perfectly prepared and happy when they got in the elevator to depart (as you can see in the picture on the bottom). Then, as I was heading back to the bride's room, I noticed that the groom party left their room door wide open for whoever was curious to see the aftermath inside, which was later closed by sister Jenny I believe. Ceremony Although I've been to the Knox church a number of times for choir rehearsals and performances. It was the first time for me to capture the inside as a photographer and I realized how dim the lighting was in the church. It was tricky to adjust the white balance but we managed. We took some shots outside of the church afterwards and the strong wind helped us make a very unique looking picture. Daphne looks like a flower in the picture on the far right with the veil being lifted up by the wind surrounding her head, Very cool! Formal After the ceremony, we headed to the Boffin Garden for the formal session. The garden was covered with the nice Spring colors and we got some beautiful shots from the garden. Reception
The reception was the highlight of the day, full of interesting programs. I think I enjoyed watching the program more as an audience than as a photographer. I usually get somewhat emotional when I edit reception pictures from any weddings, but nothing like when I was editing Daphne's dance with her father. It was one of the moments when a picture was "talking" to me like "hey, this is how I feel and you must feel this too!" wow... this is why I love photoshooting . I'm talking too much here... Thanks for inviting me to capture your most special day Daphne and Robert. It truly was a great day and I wish the best for both of you and your bright future as a friend. Congratulations! I had a chance to meet this couple for a shoot a few weeks ago. Kaycee had many ideas for the shoot and wanted to try different styles for the pictures. We met at 7:30pm and shot until 9:30pm ish. Towards the end of the shoot, we were using the moonlight and an external flash as sources of light. I'm glad how the pictures turned out despite the poor lighting and relentless mosquito attacks.
Congratulations Kaycee and Patrick! I had an honour to photograph this couple's wedding a few weeks ago.
These are from just Prep and Ceremony parts. Formal and Ceremony shots will follow soon. Their pictures truly speak for themselves...no further words needed. #yxe #saskatoonweddingphoto #saskatoonweddingpictures #saskatoonwedding
Abby and Mordecai have picked a nice sunny day for their shoot. It was a perfect day with a nice spring weather. They were such a lovely couple with a romantic love story, coming to Saskatoon all the way from Finland just to be united with his love of life! that is very unique. Can't wait till their wedding in 2 weeks! More stories to come.
