I had two of my friends come in to get their last shots taken together before one leaves to another town. With DIY make up and hair, they looked just as ready as professional models. Here's some shots we created. All the Best Sophia! #yxe #saskatoonweddingphotographer #studiosession #yxestudio #friends #friendship

I had a great time collaborating with local talents the other day at Delta Bessborough. We had Jeanny Buan and Heidi Amand from Masala Model & Talent, Malorie Thomson from Infinity management, Joy from Joy Tesch Hair, a makeup artist Caroline von Horn, wedding dresses by Mylynh Bridal & Sew. My assistance Bro. Bami was also helping us. I love shooting at Delta Bess as this hotel has so many great spots for great pictures, not to mention very friendly and helpful staff. I don't collaborate with models often enough nowadays but it's always fun to experiment and create different images without much pressure. Big thanks to all of you who joined in this collaboration and thanks for inviting me to capture the art of collaboration! All the Best! #Saskatoonweddingphotographers #yxeweddingphotographer #saskatoonphotographer #saskatoon wedding photographer #bestweddingphotographersaskatoon #dariosophoto
It was a bit chilly day in November. I headed to the Bride's home to capture the prep shots. The house was busy with the bridal party getting ready with a make up artist. It was the second time to meet the bridal party as I captured the bride's sister's wedding not too long ago, so it was a lot easier to capture their natural expressions. Then we headed out to the Parktown Hotel where the groom's party was standing by. A short reveal session was also held at the hotel where the couple met each other first time dressed up which was neat. Soon after that we headed out to campus to hit a couple spots to do the formal pictures. We had the best timing to be at the park as the sky was presenting its natural wondrous colors above us during sunset. Despite the weather and time constraints, we were able to capture beautiful moments. Ceremony and reception were held at the Faculty club on campus. It was a nice and cozy place, definitely a great location for winter weddings. We had a blast capturing everyone having a good time and dancing until after midnight. It was such an honour to be this family's wedding photographer once again. Thank you so much for having had me capture your most special day for you guys. Happy New 2016!~ #yxe #saskatoonwedding #winterwedding #saskatoonweddingphotographer #dariosophoto #weddingday #yxeweddingphotographer
It was our very first in-studio Christmas shoot and we had this lovely family coming in for their family session.
During the entire session, we tried out a number of poses with different props and we were glad that we had more than enough prop to play with. Thanks for being wonderful models! I had never been to Prince Albert for a wedding so it was my first time photoshooting in PA. The wedding took place at the Par Place which was located in the middle of the forest on the hills. I couldn't ask for a better location for a formal shoot. There were a number of beautiful spots that we could use to create artistic images. After scouting the area, I met with the beautiful bride, Angelina, at a local hotel. After shooting the bridal party's energy and beauty, I headed to Par place to get ready for the ceremony. Oh, I had a brief meeting with the bride's dad, Victor, and he shared an interesting story about how he became a resident in Canada after living in many other countries, including Germany and East European countries. What an interesting man :) There was a bit of time to capture the stylish groom and his men just before the ceremony so I did. The sky was mostly covered with clouds and it seemed that rain would start falling anytime. After shooting so many weddings in cloudy/rainy weather, I realized that the gloomy weather works better than the Sunny one most of the time. After the ceremony and the formal session, I headed home with a memory card full of unique images, feeling like the man with a number of gifts of happiness ready to be distributed. Congratulations Angelina & Kyle! #Saskatoonweddingphotographers #yxewedding #saskatoonphotographer #saskatoon wedding photographer #bestweddingphotographersaskatoon #dariosophoto #yxeweddingphotographer
It was a long-awaited day for me as I was preparing and planning a lot for this special day. Finally the day came and I was fully ready to capture Jaclyn and Ryan's most special day. My second photographer & friend Colin went to Ryan while I was photoshooting Jaclyn at her mom's/her old home. Prepping in one's own house is such a great idea as it is the most comfortable and homey place in the world. Everyone was busy yet happy while preparing for the wedding which took place at St. John's church. The interior of the church was beautiful and I was busy capturing the couple from all possible angles. After the ceremony and a short photo session with family members, we headed to the U of S campus for the formal shoot. I had a blast capturing the wedding party's energy and youth. We took a number of shots with different concepts and themes without getting too tired for the reception. At the reception, I had found myself among the most joyful and friendly crowd. A number of people visited the photobooth and many kept coming back to get their funny shots with different groups of people, while some were dancing and playing games on the other side of the hall. It was a true "Festival" experience with good food, music, and friendly people. Thanks again for having had me capture your special day and Congratulations, Jaclyn and Ryan! #Saskatoonweddingphotographers #yxewedding #saskatoonphotographer #saskatoon wedding photographer #bestweddingphotographersaskatoon #dariosophoto
It was supposed to be a rainy day with thunderstorms. I packed all of my rain gears: rain jacket, saran wrap, plastic bags and umbrellas over my bag. Mat and I already discussed what to do for pictures and we prepared for the worst scenario. Thankfully it wasn't raining until the end of the formal sessions so we had a good time shooting in the cloudy weather with no rain on us. To create dramatic effect in the pictures, I needed either pouring rain or no rain at all. Drizzling rain wouldn't do anything but get our feet and gears wet. Anyways, The wedding and reception took place inside the Louis Pub on campus which was a great venue with lots of space inside. People seemed to have had a blast celebrating in the cozy and relaxing atmosphere, dancing, eating, and visiting the photobooth. Kiera and I had a great time as well. Congratulations Mat and Caley! #Saskatoonweddingphotographers #yxewedding #saskatoonphotographer #saskatoon wedding photographer #bestweddingphotographersaskatoon #dariosophoto
I had the privilege to capture this couple's wedding a few weeks ago. The ceremony took place at the Queen's house on a very sunny day. It was my first time photoshooting a wedding at the Queen's house, and boy was I amazed by the scenery of this well maintained outdoor garden behind the building. After the ceremony, we headed to a park on Saskatchewan crescent where we took the wedding party pictures. Colin and I captured a number of different shots with different lenses and techniques to add variety to the couple's wedding collection. The bright red color of the bridemaids' dress matched well with the green background overall. Reception was all about good food, music, dance, and heart-moving speeches. People seemed to have had a blast eating, dancing, laughing, making funny faces at the photobooth. It's always a blast capturing everyone having a great time. Congratulations Tyler and Marli! Thanks for inviting us to be part of your special day! #Saskatoonweddingphotographers #yxewedding #saskatoonphotographer #saskatoon wedding photographer #bestweddingphotographersaskatoon #dariosophoto
I met up with Chantelle around 7pm at a place that I had never been to.
When I arrived at the Cranberry flat, I saw a huge field with lots of bushes and trees around. Shortly after I got out of the car, I was welcomed by numerous mosquito surrounding me, which was exactly what I expected. I sprayed OFF all over myself before I got there, but it was merely a spice for them. We found a spot nearby and took some images which turned out great but it was hard for both of us to remain still due to the relentless attacks of mean creatures. In total we shot at 3 different spots and each place had its own unique atmosphere, which created different mood for final images. Chantelle was a great talent. I haven't worked with models recently so she was the first model I collaborated this year and I am glad I did. The timing was perfect and she made my job very easy as she is also a photographer. Thanks for sharing your talent Chantelle. It was supposed be a rainy day with a thunderstorm, which wasn't true for the morning on this day. I headed down to the Park Town hotel to meet the groom. Mat was in the room with a gorgeous view. The scenery of the University bridge and the river was right out the window looking almost like a painting except it was moving. I started off by taking photos of the special items. When all of the men arrived, they started putting on their suits. Quintin was helping everyone getting dressed. It was great to see the father of the groom being the best man as he would know and do what was best for him on this special day. Many images turned out to be how I wanted: GQ style. Stylish images for the groom and Elegant style for the bride is always my goal. Kiera did a good job capturing the bride while I was with Mat. More stories to follow soon. #Saskatoonweddingphotographers #yxewedding #saskatoonphotographer #saskatoon wedding photographer #bestweddingphotographersaskatoon #dariosophoto
